Unlike the cottage name “Plain Street”, which is Roman for straight road, it is a pretty cottage with lots of charater set in a large garden with rural views.
We are situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, an ideal base for walkers and those wishing to explore the beaches, fishing villages and countryside of the North Cornwall coast.
We provide a high standard of accommodation and locally sourced Cornish produce.
The historic villages of Port Quin and Port Isaac (associated with the TV series Doc Martin) are within a couple of miles and offer safe bathing waters on calm days and provide stunning cliff walks. Port Quin has a free national trust car park and kayaking trips while Port Isaac can offer boat trips, art galleries, craft shops, pubs and restaurants.
Also a short drive away you can visit Polzeath, Rock and Daymer Bay.
The old market town of Wadebridge is only 5 miles away which is popular for the Camel Trail to Padstow and Bodmin. Wadebridge also offers a wide range of pubs, restaurants, independent shops and the Regal cinema.
